Three men have been charged for their involvement in a November 29th early morning robbery.

On November 29th at approx 12:45 am two men ordered the 19 and 20 year old victims to the ground at gun point. The armed suspects then took several items including cellphones from the victims prior to fleeing in a silver Mitsubishi Galant.

Several leads were developed which lead investigators to the Garden State Motor Lodge Motel in Union, NJ.

After several hours and with the assistance of the Union Township Police Department, three men were taken into custody without incident after leaving their hotel room.

Further investigation by Detectives Nate Reyes and Charles Messer of Lakewood PD along with Officers from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit, resulted in charges of Armed Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose for 21 year old Da’Sean Donaldson of Jackson, 29 year old Fritzley Francois of Lakewood and 38 year old Tyree Hughes of Irvington.

In addition, Hughes was found to have escaped from the NJ Department of Corrections Harbor Facility in Newark in October of this year.

Bail was set for Hughes and Francois in the amount of $150,000 no 10% and $100,000 no 10% for Donaldson. All three were transported to the Ocean County Jail.
