June 24, 2024, The Street Crimes Unit was in the area of River Avenue and observed a CDS hand-to-hand transaction. They witnessed a male later identified as Jose Jarquin-Hernandez, 30, from Lakewood, N.J., entering a vehicle. The SCU conducted further investigation and subsequently arrested Jarquin-Hernandez for drug-related offenses.
D/Sgt. Tyler Distefano, Det. Alex Guzman Jr., Officers Brandon Giuliano, James Mahecha, and James Komsa assisted in the investigation.

June 26, 2024, Officer Sean Capper responded to a 9-1-1 call of a motor vehicle crash in the area of Henry St. Joshua Gonzalez, 22, from Lakewood, N.J. was arrested for DWI and charged with careless driving, reckless driving, and multiple citations.
Officers Brian Guzman, Gary Weaver, and Joshua Gianoulis assisted in the investigation.

They witnessed a male later identified as Brandon Myles, 37, from Toms River, N.J. entering a vehicle. The SCU conducted further investigation and subsequently arrested Myles for drug-related offenses.
D/Sgt. Tyler Distefano, Det. Alex Guzman Jr., Officers James Mahecha, Joseph Mandelbaum, James Komsa, and Nadine Clarke assisted in the investigation.
WANTED PERSON
June 28, 2024, Officer Matthew McAvoy was in the area of Clifton Avenue and observed David Figueroa-Sotomayor, 63, from Lakewood, N.J. from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed an active warrant for disorderly. Figueroa-Sotomayor was arrested and brought into headquarters for processing.
Officer Derek McAvoy assisted in the investigation.
